Looking for a way to help halt climate change, and appreciate unique art at the
same time?
‘Paint the World Green’ is an art auction where the community will have the opportunity
to bid on paintings created by high-profile people of different backgrounds and
occupations, including authors, artists, musicians, and journalists.
Contribution artists include environmental activist and scientist David Suzuki,
children’s author and illustrator Mem Fox, ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’ Li Cunxin, rugby
legend Darren Lockyer, country music singer Troy Cassar-Daley as well as artists
Lance Bressow, Ralph Wilson, and many more.
All proceeds from the paintings will help preserve the integrity and rich biodiversity
of the forests through donations to Greenpeace Australia Pacific and Profauna Indonesia.
We hope this event will not only raise monetary support but will also foster positive
and constructive discussion about the forest and climate change.
The 'Paint the World Green' Art Auction will be held at Riverbend August 31..
