Social media has taken hold and looks like it is here to stay. Whether or not you decide to use it yourself, can you afford not to understand how it works?

Riverbend is happy to offer a beginners guide to getting started in the world of Facebook and Twitter. These are classes for anyone who feels a little out of their depth in the world of social media.

Do you think that a hash tag sounds illegal? Or that tweeting is something aviary related? Or that a status update is from the world of finance? Riverbend aims to demystify the world of social media. Join us in the store and learn some painless and efficient tips and tricks to bring you up to speed in an increasingly technological world.

Here's what you need to know

• Classes are $24 per person (we have limited laptops to hire for an extra $10, please check availabilty at booking).
• Classes hold a maximum of 14.
• We'd be happy to hold a social media class for just your business, school or community group.  We need a minimum of 6 people in the class.
