THE R CLUB ONLINE
Riverbend’s online book club is for READERS ALL OVER AUSTRALIA!
How does it work? Once a month, from February to November, Riverbend will host a one-hour interactive webinar via Zoom where we will discuss that month’s chosen book. Your hosts will be in store readers extraordinaire Vicky Tosh and Laura Sweeney, with special appearances from other staff members depending on the book.
When will it take place?
Monday evenings in 2024 at 6:30pm on the following dates:
February 19th
March 18th
April 15th
May 20th
June 17th
July 15th
August 12th
September 9th
October 21st
November 18th
Who can join? Anyone over the age of 18!
How much does it cost? There are five options:
1) IN BRISBANE Sessions + 1 x book per month (free postage) - $400 p.a.
2) OUTSIDE OF BRISBANE Sessions + 1 x book per month ($5 postage) - $500 p.a.
3) MONTHLY IN BRISBANE Sessions + 1 x book per month (free postage) - $45 monthly debit.
4) MONTHLY OUTSIDE OF BRISBANE Sessions + 1 x book per month ($5 postage) - $50 monthly debit.
The Books you will receive are the books we will be discussing in the bookclub Zoom webinar session.
What books will we read? The books will mostly be new, outstanding literary fiction handpicked by our readerly staff. We will sometimes throw in an outstanding biography or a classic that we think everyone should read — and a sneaky fantasy once in a blue moon. The point in joining a bookclub, we think, is to broaden your reading horizons!
